Naast haar werk in organisatieverandering en -ontwikkeling, zet Alina Chakh zich in voor vrouwengezondheid, reproductieve rechten en gelijke behandeling. Ze is medeoprichter en voorzitter van stichting Ava en sinds juni 2026 gemeenteraadslid in Amsterdam.

Ava zette onder meer het gebrek aan pijnbestrijding bij anticonceptiezorg landelijk op de agenda. Met resultaat: medische richtlijnen worden herzien en zorgverleners werken aan oplossingen.

In 2026 ontving Alina de FNV FemForce Award voor haar inzet voor een inclusieve financiële sector.

Alina schreef opiniestukken die verschenen in NRC en de Volkskrant. Ook schrijft zij regelmatig columns voor LINDA.nl en schuift ze aan als gast in radio- en podcastprogramma’s om te praten over vrouwengezondheid en -rechten.

Als spreker staat ze op culturele podia als De Balie, Pakhuis de Zwijger, TivoliVredenburg en het Nederlands Film Festival.

Alina studeerde rechten aan de Universiteit Utrecht en de Universiteit van Amsterdam.

Alongside her work in organisational change and development, Alina Chakh is committed to women’s health, reproductive rights and equal treatment. She co-founded and chairs Stichting Ava, and has been a city councillor in Amsterdam since June 2026.

Ava successfully put the lack of pain relief in contraceptive care on the national agenda, leading to revised medical guidelines and concrete improvements in care practice.

In 2026, she received the FNV FemForce Award for her efforts against workplace discrimination.

Alina has written opinion pieces for NRC and de Volkskrant, writes columns for LINDA.nl, and is a regular guest on radio and podcast programmes discussing women’s health and rights. As a speaker, she has appeared at cultural venues including De Balie, Pakhuis de Zwijger, TivoliVredenburg and the Dutch Film Festival.

Alina holds law degrees from Utrecht University and the University of Amsterdam.
